August 24, 2015..."I've had so many awesome miracles and have taught so many awesome people."

Hello Everyone!

BOOM!  Well Saturday we received a call and I was told that I will be transferring out of Olympia. We knew that's what would happen haha but I guess it was just a shock because I have been here my whole mission up to this point. About 8 months here in this area and I'm finally leaving it really is a bitter sweet feeling. I have grown so close to the ward and have felt like I was at home here. I've had so many awesome miracles and have taught so many awesome people. I've also had so many bad days and so many people who have gotten so close and just dropped us flat. It's been so awesome serving here but I'm also ready for a change. So I'm stoked to see where I will be going next!! This week was pretty good. I knew I was getting transferred so it was hard to stay motivated but we were able to see "P" and man it's so awesome how much she has grown this last transfer, and now her husband Joe is sitting in and is wanting to be baptized also!  So it's so amazing how the Lord works. I've been so pumped to see "P" just progress so fast. The Lord truly does prepare people for his Gospel. I will be sad that I can't make it to her baptism :/ but if I'm close enough I will get permission. This week we taught a lot about 3 Nephi 11 and that is where Christ appears to the Nephites. I think that's like my favorite chapter of all time. It's so cool to know that Jesus Christ not only visited the Jews but he visited all of Gods children. I don't get why people wouldn't want to learn about that. But then I was told that one of the people running for president is a rapper named Deeznuts and then I realized how corrupt and polluted this world is. They took Christ out of the history books by changing BC to BCE or before common era. This world is so dumb.  I'm so grateful to have the knowledge of this Gospel and as the world becomes more and more wicked it makes me so much more pumped up to be out here unpolluting at least some of the people.

On Sunday I told a few members I was leaving but in our apartment there is a saying on the wall... and it says " I'm not here to be remembered but to help other remember him"  Anyway, I know why I am here. I love you all and I will let you know where I go and with who I go next week!! Stay Gucci

August 17, 2015..... For Behold, Are We Not All Beggars?

Hello friends and family!!

Another week down and August is almost over
and this is the last week of the transfer!! Saturday we find out if I
leave haha. I've been here 7 months and it's been such a blast. It's
going to be weird going to a new are ( if I do leave) but change is
good, sometimes lol. I've loved serving here in the Olympia ward
because it reminds me of our ward back home, the members are super
super awesome and I will miss them. On the occasion that i stay, for
another 6 weeks, I will be happy to stay because of how awesome the
ward is haha. I've grown close to many of the members and if I come
back to Orlando after my mission the Olympia ward is where i will
visit.( it's right across from the temple ) but anyways this week was
pretty good. We've just been helping "P" get ready for baptism
which is supposed to be on the 22nd so Saturday but it's looking like
that will have to be postponed for the next weekend which is a bummer
because if I do get transferred I won't be able to attend her baptism.
But I'm so happy she is still on fire. She's been through so much in
her life, and I mean so much it just makes me appreciate the things I
have and have been through because they could be much worse. I love
the words of king Benjamin when he said " For behold, are we not all
beggars? Do we not all depend upon the same Being, even God, for all
the substance which we have, for both food and raiment, and for gold,
and for silver, and for all the riches which we have of every kind".
This was the theme of my farewell talk but it should be the theme of
our lives. There is not one person in the world that is above another.
Doesn't matter how much money you have, what car you have, how many
likes you have on dumb Instagram or favorites on Twitter. God loves
us all the same and to think we are better than someone else because
of Worldly things we pretty much are saying we are not disciples of
Jesus Christ. Because putting yourself above or even below someone is
prideful and relying on those worldly things to make you happy and not
our savior is a joke. I used to be worldly. Very into myself and my
phone and my clothes and the likes I got on social media. I wanted
everyone to accept me to think I was the man. And I probably would be
the same or even worse had I not decided to serve a mission for the
lord. I wish I could share the experiences I have had in words that
have showed me that there is more to life then material possessions
and then opinions of other people. Now don't get me wrong. I'm not
perfect lol, far from it. But when we get our priorities right, and if
they are right, then the Lord should and always be first on our list.
If he is then everything else will fall into place. I'm so grateful
for my opportunity to serve a mission for the Lord. It's going by so
fast and yesterday I talked to a returned sister missionary who just
got back from Japan who said she is so bored being back haha. So I'm
glad I have 15 months left because I don't want to come home lol. Love
you all I hope you guys have a good week. - Elder Armijo

August 10, 2015..."If We Are Worthy, The Lord Will Make Us Tools In His Hands"

Hello friends and family!!

What a week we had this week!  We had a lot of member present lessons which was so awesome. Members are the key to successful missionary work I promise you. We had such awesome lessons with "P" and we taught her about the word of wisdom and after the lesson I gave her a blessing that she would be able to stop smoking that weed  and that night she told us she went to smoke her joint she had and she said she coughed all the way through it and that it tasted like crap. It was like that Asian guy on the District saying he wanted to throw up when he thought about smoking haha it was so awesome! She said she's going to stop for sure now and she is so ready to get baptized. I'm usually not a fan of knocking on doors. Like at all . There are way better ways to use your time but "P" is a result of us knocking. She has just flourished so much, and she wears like suits to church with matching hats hahaha shes so fresh. I will for sure take a pic with her this week. And we also are teaching a lady named "M" who is so awesome. She is a little older but she has such a strong testimony already. I just love seeing people who have never heard of the gospel listen to the message and it just click in their minds and hearts that it is true. It's like they are remembering the plan that hey accepted before we all got here. I know his church is true I have seen so many miracles from preaching this gospel and being worthy of my Priesthood. If we are worthy the Lord will make us tools in his hands. I know it was through the power of God that "P" has been able to stop smoking. I love you all!! Have a great week!

August 3, 2015..."Because you guys are the key to helping us become an ETERNAL Family"

Hello friends and fam bam!

What a sick week we had here like always I guess haha. Hunter entered the mtc right?? That's so sick!! He's gonna love all the food, oh and the spiritual part too Hahahaha. That's awesome though. Crazy today is 8 months since I left home. I really feel like I was in the mtc like a week ago. But anyways this week was pretty sweet. We focused on our investigators more this week than our
less actives and recent converts and it was awesome. We set a baptismal date with "P" for August 22 and she is upper pumped about it. Like really really excited haha when she found out at she was able to be baptized by proper priesthood authority she got soooo excited because she has been baptized 3 times and every time she said it didn't feel right. It would feel good for a while but nothing changed. So she is super excited about her baptism and so are we!!! She has grown so much the last 2 weeks. We just gotta help her stop smoking that green if you know what I mean.. I wish you guys could meet her she is boss. Another cool thing is we have been working with a part member family where the wife is a member and the husband is not. He husband has been around members his whole life though. Growing up his best friend and still best friend is a member and all his friend were as well.  Then he married a member and now he's realizing that an eternal family is what he wants for his family and he realizes that his whole life has been preparation for now. It was awesome because I asked him straight up " why do you think we continue to want to meet with you and your family" and thinking he would say "to baptize me" he said " because you guys are the key , the key to helping us become an eternal family and help me get to the point where we can become so" and I was so shocked and pumped at the same time. He knows he has to be baptized and he knows eternal families are possible it's just getting to that point. So we are super stoked to be working with him and his family!! Not sure who's gonna baptize him because he's a big guy and his hand like eats your hand when you shake it hahaha. But yeah the work is going awesome. The transfer is already
half way over and when the transfer is over August will be over hahaha that's so crazy. Only a month until my birthday. But yeah I love you all hope all is well back home. Stay active in the church don't listen to satan and uhh follow your dreams haha.
